Ready for the first 100 miler of the year
After a day of running around and getting everything ready for my first 100 miler of the year I can’t wait to start. This will be the first “food testing” to find out what kind of nutrition I will be using this year at Badwater. My plan is to go as long as possible on liquids only (Perpetuem http://www.hammernutrition.com/products/perpetuem.pp.html and Nuun http://www.nuun.com/ mixed with Carbo Pro http://www.carbopro.ca/ ). During the night I may add avocados, mashed potatoes, chocolate milk, Ensure and Red Bull. Hopefully it will work out. Race report to follow.
By the way it took 6 minutes to set up the easy up gazebo. I love it!
Hi Iris
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found your blog. I must have wrote your email address that you gave me at Haliburton down wrong as when I tried to email you it just came back to me as a wrong address. I love your blog and was excited to see that you are heading back to Badwater this year. Looks like you had an amazing race at Jerseyville. Good luck with your races leading up to Badwater.
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. Glad to hear from you. Congratulations on winning the Trail Trophy Series 2009. I read your report in the magazine. That was very nice of you to mention me. Congratulations also for making the Canadian 24 Hour team. Good luck at the World's!
Jerseyville 100 was one of my best races ever and a PB. Hopefully Badwater will work out the same way.
Good luck with all your races and keep me posted.
How could I not mention you!. You and that fabulous pacer man of your's got me to the finish line at Haliburton. You are an amazing woman and runner Swiss Miss and I wish you nothing but success in all your races this year. You keep me posted on things also.
ReplyDeleteSue
That fabulous pacer was Jim Morrison. I could not have done it without him. I was happy to "share" him with you.
ReplyDeleteThanks again and good luck. I'm looking forward to run with you again.
